Palsonite Cylinder for VSR

Jun 30, 2008 1:21am
I just got a Palsonite vaccum cylinder set, replacing the stock cylinder and the teflon cylinder that both broke because of the too powerful spring. After i got this set, i couldnt use any of the 150, 170, 190, etc... First springs. So i went with the spr 300% spring. The current cylinder is reinforced with a laser weld around the seam where the others broke. My question is how easy this cylinder is to break. I dont want to have a too powerful spring. The spr 300 spring feels a little less powerful than a 190 First spring, and more powerful than a 170, for someone who doesnt know what it is. If it is too strong, ill go with the spr 250%.

And does anyone have any idea what kind of fps im getting with the current setup, and what i would get with a 250% spring. I know the 300% spring with a hard Palsonite cylinder set(meaning not vaccum) gets 550 fps.

Ok my bad. When i said i installed the palsonite vaccum cylinder set, i figured you knew what i meant. I was just curious if anyone had an estimation, anyway, because i cant get down to aex anytime soon. And i think most of the factors are eliminated becasause i replaced a lot of stuff.

you should probably be getting around 530 fps with the VC piston, but it will be much more consistent than with the HD type piston. The cylinder will work just fine with that spring, it's designed to be able to handle the ss5000 spring, which can push 750fps on a VC cylinder setup.

Alright, if your sure then i wont get the other spring. The last thing i want to happen is the cylinder break. Thanks for the help.
