I say it is a hobby, becasue we collect different guns and play with them.

As said by another Sacair member: I believe that Airsoft is a Sport, to an EXTENT. Meaning, Airsoft should NOT go mainstream. Why? hmm....

What about paintball, why are they on tv then and not considered a sport. Its still a gun.

But Hey, stormtroopers looked pretty scary when I was 5. haha. But Airsofting could be called a sport but it is not a true sport there for concluding it's a HOBBY

i think its a sport-like hobby. i talked to some cop and they took about 10 guns away from a kid earlier in the day they dont hate airsoft guns they just dont want to see them in public. and gang members are putting blaze orange tips on their guns, so poeple think tht they are fake. then killing people ''magicly'' with the "airsoft gun" so as long as it doesnt become as mainstreme as paint ball(witch it wont do to poeple like the youtube video earlier in this thred) we airsofters arent in any sort of danger to our sport-hobby
