The law is the Law. I went to buy some wine the other day with my fiance who ius not 21 and they would not sell it to me because she was to young, although it was my debit card buying the wine.

"it's Easier to destroy than to create."
We went in the store together to go grocery shopping. I wanted to get some wine because it helps the flavor of food when you cook it. They refused sale to me on the wine because my fiance who is not 21 was with me. I had my ID and it was my money but they still refused the sale on that.

I understand the wine one. They assume that you are going to provide liquor to someone underage and deny selling it, even if you are of age. I think it is stupid, what if you just wanted to drink alone. Same thing happens when I go with buddies to buy cigarettes; I am in the background and they still ID me.

i have no idea what the ABC laws are now, but when i worked at chevron if you came in with someone who was under 21 we wernt supposed to sell you alcohol unless they were under 16 years of age and you were the parent. If you walked in with someone 16 to 21 and they bought chips and walked out or bought nothing we couldnt sell to you. Basically you had to be 21 and in there by yourself or we couldnt sell to you. Also note that if we did sell to you with a minor or to a minor it was a 10k fine for you and the store and you could go to jail. So sadly i can understand why someone would not want to sell you the booze.

I didn't? So when they took the bottle away form me and said sorry we cant sell this to you because she is underage, that was not denying the sale? What would constitute it? Them pulling a gun on me and saying get out? If I just put the money on the counter and grabbed the bottle and walked out that be illegal. The wine is the store property. If they do not consent tot he sale then it is not legal. The same idea if someone goes into your house and hands you 400$ for your TV. You say sorry I don't want to sell it, then the grab your TV and walk off. Sure money was exchanged but if one party doesn not consent of the sale of their property then its not a legit transaction.
[quote="Editor"]I understand.

It's been done many times and is legal.
