What is this spring for?

Question... what does the small spring that goes on front of the hop up between it and the outer-barrel do on my M4? I'm guessing that it's used to keep the barrel pushed all the way back tight against the gearbox.

I believe you are correct - it forces the hopup unit against the air nozzle/front of the cylinder. :shock:

Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
