Well, I unfortunately found the law, and am currently reading the full limitations it is enlawing. It is Senate Bill 1858 (not a State bill, that says Cops can form Rape Support groups).

Am I mistaken or does the first section say that the law only applies if the gun is manufactured after July 1st? Also, doesn't it also say that they just need to come with an advisory on the packaging?

He's right. It depends on what area of Hawaii you are in. The more "touristy" areas tend to have a higher babe factor from my experience but California by far has a higher average.

Ok just to make sure I have this straight. My PERSONAL property that is not illegal at the moment will become illegal on July 1st and I will be a criminal if I don't put an orange tip on it, and subject to fines and jail time? Just for owning MY personal property? How can I put this...

lol yea thats the one problem with that specfic area. Lots of bears, and Mt. Lions. Our friend who sold us the land has lost 3 dogs, to the Mt. Lions, and a flock of chickens. Needless to say, I'll have my carbine with me for the first few months lol...

Well Dave hit it right on the head about gun laws being off topic (kinda), but you are not supposed to need a license for anything. The requirement of a drivers license, pilots license, and insurance is a direct violation of an American citizens right to travel the land and an infringement on the pursuit of life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness.

well... call me dictator, call me schmictator, call me paranoid, I dont want people flying damn 10000lbs highspeed objects that are uncertifiedto do so, 4000lb 300 horsepower steel blocks capable of 100mph, just as much as i do not want some asshole who could be bipolar or just plain dumb to have acess to a 9mm fully automatic weapon that can spit out 18 shots per second.... I highly doubt you can shoot a real rifle above 600rpm(10/sec), maybe you can but your going to be holding it goofy like a pballer to pull the trigger fast enough.

I'm not interested in debating... my comment was to the attitude of society, that "Oh it doesn't effect me, so who cares..." Trust me all the things people over look will bite them square in the ass some day... Just like all the College students who were gonna change america on election day, but almost none got off their ass to actually vote...

because, I'm moving to a free state, going back to school, and opening my own gunshop... I've already re-newed my NRA memebership... I'm fighting with my mind, instead of with useless violence.
