Speaking from personal experience, I would suggest the CA M15A4 Sportline carbine. It has a plastic body (although they have released ones with a metal body) it is very sturdy, and quite rugged. I can go prone, use dense cover, run with it, bump into a few things, and the little thing keeps on keepin' on. For the price and stock performance, it is an excellent little bb throwing device. That's my 2 cents anyways. (Please note, this is my first aeg, but from reading a lot of threads on here about it, I've heard a lot of good things about it! )

I have beatin the hell out of my 36c and I'm pretty impressed with the lil plastic gun. Other than that if say my 249 that I got from cracker jihad. But I haven't done much with it. These are my experiences with mine. Others may have a different story

JG SR-16. I still can't beleive the range on the POS, it takes large batteries, my sqaud is the 2nd owner and we've put at least 50,000 rounds through it in 6 months. Aside from a periodic clenaing it's needed no maintenance, had no issues, and seems to have more range than my CA slr-105

hmmm m14 thats a nice change... so are you saying a stock tm m14 is reliable and tough?

I'm still trying to break my TM G36C. Just can't seem to do it. Then again, I haven't made any attempts to use it as a javelin or shotput, but under extremely rough "normal" use, it's survived.
I wouldn't recommend a gun I don't think fits what you are asking for.
