cleaning tips

need some ideas on when to clean my gun, I have STTI silicon lubricant that doesnt damage "mental or plastic parts" and yes it does say mental. I have almost used one 1000ml can of green on my g19 and do not know if it is time to use some of this stuff, can someone help me out here, I love the g19 and want to make it is cared for properly, thanks

there should be silicone in the green gas you are using so the gun is already well lubricated after every use

The green gas doesn't lube your gun...the silicone is an additive to keep the o-rings good. This is why those who use propane instead of green gas actually add their own silicone spray to the mag (by applying it to the propane tank).
