So I've tried to remove it but the thing won't budge. It's on a CA M15 SOCOM. Any idea why it might be doing this? And any possible solutions?

Remove the stock as the main screw being attached may angle the gearbox against the pin slightly and make it tighter.
Already have the stock off but...
