T2 is a classic, but sadly the politically correct terminator that couldn't kill people I always thought was lame even as a kid.

The first time we see pulse rifles in the Terminator series is at least 2029. We saw that in the opening scene of T1.

Plus... This future is much different then the one his mother prepared him for :)

It would seem that technology exponentially grows in the future.

Ever since Terminator 3 (which SUCKED), I've been a little skeptical of it all.

I think the main reason Arnold didnt kill people was that 1.) studio wanted a PG13 rating and possibly 2.) John reprogrammed it not to kill prior to sending him back in time, just like in T2, except John made the Terminator swear it.

If you watch the entire series of Terminator films when the scenes cut to future flashbacks had by Kyle Reese and dreams of Sarah Connor you will see a varied cache of weaponry. Everything from what I'm assuming are "plasma rifles" to conventional miniguns to sidearms. In a SHTF scenario like the one in Terminator you take what you can get and improvise the rest from there.

Lack of muzzle flash does not mean its airsoft. Its not uncommon to see RS pictures without muzzle flash. Its hard to capture the muzzle flash in a picture or a screen cap because often the shutter speed isnt fast enough.
