Though it sounds like you had a find time on your other rifle I have often found that CA delta rings do not like to thread onto G&P receivers. It seems the pitch is slightly different. TM and G&P delta rings should screw on just fine. G&P has even released a sold separately delta ring that helps in these situations.

What brand is the gearbox shell you dropped in there?
