So I'm thinking about what I want to do with myself when graduate high school in a year. I'm going to do a lot more research, but I'm considering enlisting in the Marines as either a 0313 (LAV crewman) or a 0341 (Mortarman). Or possibly a 0352 (Anti-Tank Missleman).

yeah RECON and MEU structure has changed a LOT in the past 5 years. Find someone who's served in those roles within the past 5 years if you do. I was out end of `01 and i think the 1st FRecon was dismantled a couple of years after that.
i dont know about this dismantle...recon is still here, but they are slowly and surely becoming MARSOC. but the 1st to 4th recon are still around
