Battery mah help me!
I want to get a 9.6v battery, but I'm not sure whether it should be 2000mah or below 2000mah. It needs to fall under sac airsoft FPS rules and not go over 400fps.

Let me put it in a very common analagous terms.

battery doesnt effect fps
If the battery can't turn the gears than the FPS = 0. I say batteries can affect FPS.

I thought better mah affected the FPS according to this chart posted on WGC Shop:

yes it is OK if you have a full stock. However, there are higher capacity batteries available @ the same size.

The stronger the spring the more energy it takes to pull back the spring.. I think (although misleading) this may of been what they were trying to get potray Generally if you upgrade your spring you will have less shots before needing to recharge so you may wish to upgrade your battery.
One of the most important things to consider is the battery discharge rate(the rate that a battery changes chemical energy to electrical energy) I have seen 8.4v batteries perform better than 9.6v batteries simply because their discharge rate was higher.

So, for best performance, a battery like this should be good, right?

well yes.. chances are that is the way to go... but will it fit in your gun or are you going to have to run it exterally? Got to remember that size counts...
