Ok so I've decided its time to rebuild my desktop. I have 2 internal HD's that are just fine at the moment, plus a DVD burner and DVD player that are still acceptable. Unfortunately I'm about 6 years out of the loop when it comes to mother boards. All i know is I'd like PCI-E, the ability to put enough RAM to choke a donkey and a chipset for Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad.

Ooo hadn't thought of that... 32 bit vs 64 bit. Like i said its been a while since i kept up with anything lol. Right now i have a copy of Vista Home premium and XP Pro 32 bit i think. I'm hoping to keep this under $500 but knowing me I'll find ways to spend a little bit more on each component and jack up the total. But i wasn't thinking of going over 4Gb of RAM anyway. Just as long as i find a decent MB that will do SLI for later I'll be happy.
Sell it all and go for this.
