I am currently deciding between the ak-47 spetsnaz or the sig 552 seals. The AK is more practical because it comes with a 250 mag and a large battery so I dont have to spend any more money on a mag or battery. However, I don't really like the way it looks too much. The sig on the other hand looks a lot better in my opinion but i need to buy another battery probably because it is a mini as well as an extra mag, or attach one of those battery packs. I believe both guns have version 3 gearbox's and similar performance. Does a battery pack make the gun look ugly or bulky? Do you guys usually go for looks or more for practicality when chosing a gun? thanks

a little bit of both, but I'm more for practicality.

Battery bags or batteries taped, tied, glued or harnessed or in otherwords exposed on the side of a gun(s) look really really ugly.

It depends on what you like. I have seen some people out there with a battery taped to the gun.

you can always get around the battery issue...if you like the SG552, go with it...just get a battery pack, and a PEQ case for it...

i like looks, but practicility is a very important thing as well. Whatever u prefer, but just remember that almost any gun can be made to be practical but it will cost some cash, but then u have a custom gun which is awesome 2 have. up 2 u. if u got cash i say get the SG552, if ur limited get the ak.

go for practicality, airsoft guns are already highly realistic...

black looks so sick on ak's, especially a spetznatz. if you want a looker, id get a spetznatz. there's one on airsoft extreme for $500 in the AEMAX guns section.

speaking of an all black AK, I am going to do that. I have 2 AK's and 1 Beta. Since I bought a wood kit I now have an extra "original fake wood marui" body. I will paint the extra and have the luxury of choosing which look will match my wardrob. :lol:

beware when you paint. the thin woodgrain film will wrinkle up on you. sand and prep it good before you paint

I didn't paint mine. Someone else found out the hard way.

i use plasti-kote black primer for cars when i paint my guns and parts. i painted my m4 ris reciever with it. it works great
