Alright, so I just purchased a G&P Metal Body kit, and as I'm installing it, I can't figure out how the "HOP UP"/Bullet Eject(On the real steel) fits on there? It comes with a spring, but I can;t figure out how to make the spring pop it open. Is there some trick I'm not getting? If I was to assemble all together now... the flap would be dangling! :x
If the spring the dust cover rod shares is installed correctly it should snap open the cover and keep it wide open and pressed against the receiver body. If this is the case, I'm not sure what is dangling (or, if this isn't loosely dangling, I'm not sure what is).
Alright, I'm using the G&P Dust Cover, but it won't close either. So I managed to rig something up with my old TM Dust Cover. BUT NOW... After finally getting that dang spring into the gearbox, I get all excited to put it together, and it turns out... I need a Different Charging Handle in order to slide the mechbox into the top body piece. GAHHHH
Hahaha, yea I would have asked the AEX guys... but all there is at the Santa Clara store are a few punk kids running the front register.
Ask if you can ask one of their techs a question about compatibility.
