i have a gamepod field ready JG 416 that has been heavily used in the 3 years i've had it, i've burned out 3 sets of trigger contacts from use.

MOSFET, that way your trigger is just a low voltage gateway, and the battery dumps directly in to your motor. You will get better tigger response, and you will stop smoking your contacts.

I'm not a complete expert on lipo things, but from what i've learned you will need to replace quite a few parts if your gearbox is basically stock, and that heavily used. Either that or get a drop in gearbox. otherwise the stress will cause different parts to maybe crack and such which could result in the entire gearbox breaking
We shall meet in glorious battle

kwa gearboxes rock right out of the box but if you are looking to upgrade in the future or run it into the ground, parts may be rather difficult to get. I have a kwa and love it but have to replace broken parts with kwa parts instead of aftermarket stuff and that is why I may be switching over to TM
impossible is nothing

The 2GX gearboxes don't fit in any lower accept KWA with out mods.

not usually, often times their site will say that they are sold out of a certain part but if you call the shop ask for a guy named Jim and he will usually find the part you need. KWAs are built specifically to work well with other KWA parts and when put together right work like a dream but upgrading is not much of an option without a complete overhaul. But more recently as demand for KWAs has increased for 2gxs their parts availability has increased as well. Unfortunately I have the first gen and parts are a little harder to find

oh alright. i have a 2gen, so you're saying it should be a bit easier to find parts. thanks for the heads up. sorry to the original poster for stomping on your parade.
