I was not being rude, just to the point. I've been into WWII history and collecting for most of my life. There are alot of books out there on this topic and I've found there are very few accurate books on the subject of WWII uniforms in general.

Thanks. Started collecting in the early 90's. Most of the GI stuff is original since there were no reproductions availible. The German stuff is 50/50 real and repro. The German field gear is all real as well. This is just a fraction of my collection. I'll post up more as I have to dig it out of storage and photograph it.

The leg ties on the 101st M-42 trousers where made from HBT webbing and not folded canvas like the 82nds. Just a small factoid.

...and pretty much worthless for airsoft. I did my best to make it look right, but I didn't get anal about the set up becuase it's what I actully play in. So it's more about it working well for playing then for historical perfection.

Understood. When you get into WWII reinacting all those details are required. Even your food! You should try it sometime, rent a Thompson, you'll never airsoft in that uniform again 8)
