I scored 3 ww2 .50cal ammo cans at a flee market today for $5 each. I also pulled the old folding shovel out of my land cruiser and laughed when I realized it's a ww2 shovel. That thing has been riding around in my cruiser for years.

Contacted the german designer of the m14-g43 converison, I'll let you guys know what I hear back, hopefully he understands english :)
Heard back from the designer of the G43, he said the conversion cost to much and took to long for him to consider any profit from a large scale production or sale. He won't be making anymore
That's too bad. That thing is sweet.

I wonder if you could find real parts and use them to make one. The gas tube at least. The rest you might be able to make a mold using the real stuff and make it out of figerglass.

Yeah, I saw that one right after I posted that. Still though, maybe you could contact him and get some of the molded parts??? It would be awesome to see a g43 out there. And actully, if you got the molded parts you could then make your own molds and build a few. You could also then have replacement parts should it ever get damaged.

yeah he is the guy I've been following, just waiting for him to finish his first initial prototype. He said he is planning to eventually do large scale metal castings :)
more ordnance in the field would be awesome. So far the rubber grenades are proven very effective.
