looks like they changed their return policy some... 6 years back i was with my friend when he bought a 4 port USB hub. We opened it on the car ride home and it was a 2 port in a 4 port box. We turned around and 15 minutes after purchase he was talking to the girl at customer service who refused to return or exchange it because the box had been opened even though it was the wrong product. They wouldn't even open another one to see if the rest of their stock was the same.

best buy did that for me also....but best buy also has a bad side...

Actually another best buy story with the same friend... we bought a 58" DLP that was on sale because it was a display model. Smoking deal for it, a stand and a sick little surround setup. He bought the extended warranty anticipating the bulb would burn out soon since the bulbs are $500 each. Within a month sure enough the bulb went out. He had the 1 year manufacturers warranty plus the 3 year extended warranty from best buy that cost another $300. Called them up and they refused to replace the bulb or even look at the TV because it was still under manufacturers warranty. F*ck that, he threw a fit at them and eventually they did what he paid them to do.
