Job Posting Ban

Sep 26, 2008 12:50am
I'm putting up that we not allow people to come on here to ask for jobs. It's not our duty or responsibility to think for these kids. They have career centers, parents, neighbors and community centers for that.

I find this offensive and stupid.
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.

If job postings are allowed, they should have their own section and not show up on the front page with the other recent posts.

he saying its kinda bs to make it sac air low based on 1 admin saying so WITHOUT other admins agreeing to it. He posted a new rule with only erin agreeing to it. I think that is completly valid.

So, instead of subject bans, institute posting legibility requirements?

I have no problem with just ridiculing someone who is expecting to find a job with a slang filled, typo laden mess of a post.

I understand where Blain is coming from. It seems that the ones who come on here asking for where to look for "leads" for jobs are doing so out of pure motion of going through it because their parents told them to. They are expecting others to think for them. Do you really think that this is the proper community to provide that kind of advise? Somethings should be left off this forum and that should be one the topics. Again there are plenty of places outside of airsoft forums to do so.

Out of all of them, I think the guys younger then 18 are the only ones who actually do need assistance. Anyone over 18 can go to McDonalds or Monster.com and find a job. They also are little more likely to have a license and be able to actually get to work.
