Abandoned military bases

I heard that there are a few abandoned military bases around the bay (Novato, Alameda, etc) and Sacarmento areas. I wonder why aren't anyone inquire about using those area for airsoft?

RoundHouse productions is leasing the land at this time from the City/County (I dunno which). I would be harder for a group of airsofters to get permission from the city and/or the Goverment in order to use those lands. Also the concerns of contamination (Lead, Mercury, and other hazordous materials) makes it a huge liability for the goverment to lease out.

I know that military bases to play because back when i played paintball there was a field on Travis AFB where my dad works. All they did is they used an old housing area that was set to be demolished to put it a new one, but the base decided to turn it into a paintball course. But as krazy said there is dang close to no way in hell you'll get to play on one.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a military base for some airsoft. It was the best cqb I have ever played. I doubt that the military would "officially" let any airsoft activities take place. While we were playing a local SWAT team was training, bomb squad was setting crap off and there was detcord everywhere. It was a blast :D
