The Etiquette of ride sharing
I've been airsofting for just under 2 years now. I'm always happy to help an airsofter out, give a ride here and there, help the community by getting people to games, and so forth.
Wow...this really needs put up? Apparently common sense isn't so common anymore...

I rarely let people give me money for a ride...BUT, it is anoying when it's not at least offered.

dude if you are ever in town long enough i would give you a free oil change, well free of labor charges. you would still have to pay for the oil and filter. so like 10-15 bucks.

It surprises me that this even has to be brought up.
At AUTOZONE you can ger 5 qts of oil, plus filter for under 12 dollars :P
it really depends on what vehicle is getting the oil change

I look at giving rides differently. I am going ANYWAYS, so giving someone a ride in my truck is a non-issue. Its not like the extra 200lbs of person and gear is really going to make a difference in a full size truck. The extra weight is not going to effect the gas mileage in a major way. There is not going to be any more wear and tear in an extra 200lbs. IMHO I am going out to have fun with my FRIENDS. If you you are asking for a ride from me or I am offering a ride to you, you are a friend and therefore there is no need to give me $$. If you want to offer a couple $$ thats cool, if not I dont care and it probably wouldn't even come into my mind that you didnt.
