I'm really looking into getting a Sun Project or Escort gas blowback M4, and was wondering if there is anything in particular I should know about them (pros/cons) besides the CO2 tanks and weather effect.

The most common problem with them is the collar on the airshaft slipping. It's easilly fixed with locktite on the set screws if it happens you yours.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
