ok, I was having problems with my JG AK47. the gearbox would lock up quite often and the only way to free it up was to use a 9.6v battery to "unlock" the gearbox. but after a few bbs it would lock up with the 8.4v which it came with.
A long wire ran back to your car battery? need an ROF boost, just have the driver rev the engine.
I could rig a car battery to a backpack, but something tells me my motor would explode, lol.
9.6v won't hurt your gun much, it increases the rate of fire however it also speeds up the rate at which things break down. I've run a 9.6 in my jg 416 for the last 3 years and its really just burned out my trigger contacts but I suspect that's from using it mostly on single fire.

You should have seen Dom's Frankenstein AK, pretty sweet lookin!!
Brett + Retro = Brettro
More then likely your battery is poop. The batteries that come with china guns suck really bad. A better 8.4 should work fine.

I tried 2 older batteries and i bought a new one(all 8.4v, 2 1100 mAh and 1 1400 mAh) it locks up with all of them.
