Welcome to sacair, you should just ask to borrow a gun from someone once you make it to a game and see how you like it first, then check out the private seller forum for some good deals on stuff if you want to get into airsoft.

speaking of good deals, snoopy is selling an upgraded TM M4 for 250. if you find out you lik air soft you may want to look into that deal if its still up for sale.

Yeah, if you can only get one gun to start with, try out a bunch of loaners at a game first before you buy. That way, you're sure to get what you like best.

i think that i want to get a p90, but i have never tried one, so i dont know for sure

P90s are fun unless you're a really big persom. I like the way they shoot, comes with a built in red dot optic, 300+ round magazine, and very low profile. But they are small for me. Being 6'3" can make buying the gun you like and the gun that fits you a pain.

Well i think a full stock gun might be better, lol i got an mp5a5 for my first AEG and that thing was a real pain to put the battery in and the battery died fast. An mp5a4 would probably be a good starter gun IMO

Using the power of "Search", I found a thread talking about loaners. I have just this evening purchased a rifle (CA MP5 SD5 Navy). I didn't purchase a pistol.

+1 buddy. My rig is dedicated to magazines for rifle and pistol. Pistol is on the leg, water on the back. Simplicity.

Welcome.

i couldnt agree more on simplicity, all i wear is a very small black hawk mag rig that hold 8 m4 mags, a dump pounch and my holster is i have pistol, the rest is t-shirt and blue jeans.

I got the impression from the recent event thread and this weekend's event thread that woodland and/or desert camo was requisite, rather than just practical.

meh, just come out with an aeg, battery, magazine, bbs, and goggles and you are good. And some snacks and water, and a good attitude. My first time out I wore a tshirt, some khakis, and a backpack. Sacair is so chill, its not like the Cimmerians where you have to wear a wanna be Ranger uniform with each game... and were they won't let u play if you don't... Try it out a few times, then buy what you need, not what you think you need.
