So I often wondered if a draft was ever to be reinstated, what would you do?

Funny you ask that. Just talking about that with a friend's dad the other day. I would go fight for my country. I would go and do my duty the best I could.

Well considering I was in the army and was discharged for an injury even if I did get drafted I wouldn't make it pass meps.

*prepares for bashing* if it was a war for a cause I actually supported, I would proudly enlist, but seeing as it's not, I would go to college and then grad school until the war was over, and if not by then, I'd leave to Canada :D

I would enlist before I was Drafted so at least then I could Pick the branch and I would Proudly fight for my country

I honestly could not say until I was in this situation myself. But right now, I believe I would be fine with joining to protect my freedoms.

Having served overseas (pre-Iraq) and having seen what "we've" done to others overseas, I don't even know if Iâd support a draft on our home soil.

i would do the same as special k. i would enlist before. cause then you don't get that shitty training on the fly and you would be considered a "real" soldier. btw i can't thank the people enough that are over there right now giving year and years of their lives just to fight for some people that live halfway around the world from us.
