10.8v/11.1v li-ion or 11.1v li-po... I use these -

Yeah i recently ordered ebay banned lipos, they have an amazing price compared to most RC and hobby places.

sweet thanks for the link. but what does mah measure.

mah: milli-amp hours

ok last question. i ordered a 11.1V 1800mah lipo battery on airsplat. it seems like a good battery, and its just what i need. but then i wondered if it is good quality. it didnt tell me a brand, and i was wondering if it matters whether the battery is a name brand or an off brand. they are both lipo batteries right, whats the difference.

Li-po batteries are the next big thing here in Germany. I am actually upgrading all my guns with Li-po batteries. This is what I have learned:

odd, voltage/amp increase shouldn't affect the FPS at all since that's factored by the spring & compression. It should have only affected your ROF..... very odd

The theory behind the difference in the fps is that the discharge in the Ni-mh is not consistent so it does not cycle the motor completely, which may translate to less energy leaving the motor and into the gears. It may also be possible that my Ni-mh is one year old versus a brand new Li-po.

Battery type does not affect muzzle velocity, either the motor cycles and the spring is compressed and released, or it doesn't. Different voltage or inconsistent voltage only affects how fast the spring is cycled. If you increase your rps enough you may actually reduce your fps. Also, if you are worried about fully discharging your lipo, you can install a mosfet that will cut power before you reach a certain threshold.
all bleeding stops eventually...

Can anyone else verify or confirm that a 7.4 LiPo will achieve a higher ROF than say an 8.4 Nimh or even a 9.6? Doesn't seem to make sense, given a higher voltage will always turn the same motor faster that a lower voltage. All I think would change is the battery discharge profile.

Anyone know of any good sites to get them from besides ebaybanned?

E-hobby Asia has them though they are more expensive:
