I just picked up a Shooting Chrony F1. Great Chrono.
Take a look to see if you can open it up to get to the wires to the LCD screen. If you are confident with your soldering skills, you can purchase a new LCD screen from an electronic store and attach the leads back on.
Check the paperwork that came with the chrono, there should be a parts list and a toll-free number you can call to order specific parts.
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.
I left them a message yesterday and today they called back.
Option B: Will they do it for free?
Everytime someone puts a RIS on an AK, God kills a kitten.
They want close to $50 dollars for the repair, might as well just buy a new one.
