I have an mp5k that has been giving me issues. The problem is that if I try and shoot it in semi, it locks up. Pushing the cleaning rod through the barrel will fix it but it will only shoot full auto. Any help would be appreciated.

Everytime someone puts a RIS on an AK, God kills a kitten.
Gun is stock. When in semi it will pretty much be dead trigger or 1 shot then dead trigger and after switching back to full it gives a nice errrr like the battery is dead. Will work fine on full auto most of the time, but it sometimes does the same thing.

A "grr" sound doesn't help. It could just be a lose motor to an entire gearbox failure. Vague.
anyone have any ideas as to why auto would work and not semi?
