My neighbor told me about how he went to Reno, Nevada and applied for a Non Resident Concealed Carry Permit. He ran up there for the weekend and by Monday he was at the Sheriff's office applying for his permit. You basically need a class, pass a course of fire and apply for the permit. Then anytime you go into Nevada, you can pack! Nevada has reciprocity in other states too, meaning you can carry in those states as long as your Nevada permit is good.

I didn't think a Nevada CCW was valid in CA? If it is sweet. But since I'm 18 I'm still out of luck. :evil:

Obviously my $5 grand a year to go to college isnt paying off. Reciprocity is a big word, and I had to go and look it up.

Ok..let me be the serious one here. I love firearms just like the other guy, thats why we all play airsoft. Now picture this...you are walking down the street and see someone breaking into a car. You are packing heat and think you are a tough guy. He looks at you and you draw down...he has a gun too. You fire and kill him. The officer asks to see your CCW (California Concealed Weapons Permit).... "I'm sorry officer I only have a Nevada Concealed weapons permit, but I have reciprocity!!!" Aaahh no. That wont work. Imagine your families loss as you are whisked away in cuffs as a FELON...and all your families money will go to the victim because you shot him. You may have been right, but you were against the law. Remember why there are firearms...to KILL PEOPLE. Not to carry around and think you are Bruce Willis in Die Hard. CCW are made for people who are in risk of immediate death due to serious violence(ie Police Officers, etc.) Don't even bother trying to get one in California. I don't mean to be a downer, just a voice for reason..... :)

Justification of Deadly force.

Yes, sadly "Justice" is not only blind but has had her eyes poped out and skull f***ed by the people that supposedly "represent" us. :x

I agree with you on that too. Thats what blood sucking lawyers in training are finding out... almost anything can be justified, even if its totally wrong.

Well I'd just like to do it since we are able to. I guess since we are so strangled here in CA with strict gun laws, just figured it would be cool to have a permit.... Definately not for everyone....

Actually, just so you guys know, unauthorized concealed carry is a misdemeanor in Kalifornia. On the other hand, packing a knife that isn't within guidelines is a felony. Go figure.
