ok this winter i am hoping to play some airsoft in the snow. i was just wondering if there is anything i need to know such as if the guns will perform any different of if we need to do something to them before we play. also is there anything that we need to make sure we dont do ( or should we even play at all)? we will be playing with every "type" of gun so it would be very helpful to get facts on each. thanks in advance

gas guns will not function very well. the gas efficiency goes down the drain.

Don't play somewhere where you would be endangering yourselves, others or our beloved game. Other than that just a +1 to the gas guns comment and have a good time.
I like the thought of a snow game, (a couple scenes from Enemy At The Gates) comes to mind. maybe a russian vs german mil sim ww2 game even. attack and defend(stalingrad outskirts) or a find the injured sniper(instead of help the downed pilot)
get some russian snow ponchos or artci urban they work VERY well
ok sweet, so just to make sure it wont hurt the guns to get snow on them or.....maybe even in them :)

Its the same idea as rain. Just don't go dropping your gun into a snow drift and pulling it out a few minutes later. Also, when the game is over and you are home, I suggest keeping your case opened up in a warm, dry place so any excess water that may have sneaked its way into your inner barrel/gearbox will dry out, and avoid any internal problems.

Speaking of airsofting in the snow, I think we should organize a game up in the snow :)

I would be down for that.

the airsoft centurions do a snow game/red dawn reenactment every year. If you go and don't stay elsewhere, DO NOT EAT THE EGGS!
