Real Steel AMMO Cheap!!
This is meant for everyone but especially for you Kevin. I was browsing over the Sports section of Thursday's Bee and River City Gun Exchange is selling M855/SS109 Green Tip .223 ammo for $4.99 per 20 rounds. Pretty screamin deal man. Also if anyone is looking for a Sig P229 handgun they are having a kick ass deal: Blued Sig P229 in 40 S&W w/Trijicon night sights, 357 Sig Barrel, 2 mags and hardcase for $779. That's a hell of a good price!
Which Kevin are you talking about? And what would any of us do with M855 armor penetrating ammo? As far as i know none of us have any military 5.56x45mm rifles. Getting one in CA is a freaking chore.
Neouser Kevin. As far as what people could do with SS109? Well why not have it if you can get it? I have a Bushmaster with a former military grade upper 20" with a 1/9 barrel and it loves SS109 ammo!
Ah, SS109 is ok if you're fighting people wearing lower level body armor. Otherwise it's like shooting them with an icepick. And there is cheaper target ammo out there even still.
Heh heh heh. Actually, you can get Federal XM-193 ball ammo (Made in Lake City) up at Great Guns for $3.50 per box of 20. Watch out, because not all SS109 is M855 spec. United States M855 military ammunition is loaded to higher pressures than most SS109. The only M855 you want to buy is the surplus stuff out of Lake City. (Which is the only place in the US that I know of that produces all the ammo for our military.) As for the green penetrator tip, it's really a moot point. It's made to penetrate steel helmets out to 300 yards. Within 150 yards, just about all .223/5.56 ammo will penetrate body armor. If you wanna know more about this crap...
Hey, we should plan a day at the range one day.....
Ray's got the MOVES!
Heh heh heh. Sounds good to me. Either that or just find someone with a piece of private property to shoot on.

If my grandmothers property will thaw, you guys are welcome to shoot with us. My old man and I target shoot in that area a lot. No double tap restrictions either.
there is a range in spenceville, its up the road a little bit from the Yuba Hill. take whatever guns u want there. Frequently you will see people with automatics, .50cals, and assault rifles of all sorts. Everyone is real friendly and you don't have to pick up ur brass

I'm down like OPP, yeah you know me. I have an item or two that I want to... uh... try out...
oh yea, there is no shade. bring a hat or something.
So when is this goin down, Joe?
nah, i've been up there with a couple guys from a local militia (or so it looked). they had G36s, G3s, M16s, M14s, and some old relics like SKSs and stuff. no one cared. Before that i had been up there and there was this guy with a grease gun on full auto. it only lasted him like 5 minutes of shooting then he was out of ammo, but no one cared.
