Tanio Koba Hop Twist Barrel?

Anyone have experience with these barrels? Are they as good as they look? If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the link:

They made my 1911 drop about 10fps, but it did jump a bit in terms of range.

From my experience they worked better in lower fps guns. Had one, never liked it, went back to a stock barrel. I say either get a KM tight bore or leave it stock and ark your shot :lol:

so its not a tight bore barrel that happens to be rifled?

Rifling on it isnt meant to make the bb leave with a spin. Its meant so that the air around the BB keep it centered in the barrel for as long as possible.

Ya it creates a cushion of air around the BB to help it "float". Well that was alwasy my understanding of how it works. Either way im not a fan. I personally feel that a good ho unit, bucking and a clean barrel will give the bb better range and acurracy. Besides in the end we are still shooting a smooth round object down a smooth tube. Accuracy is not something that these guns are known for.
