Well some a$$ whole crashed into a power pole near my house. So the resulting power surge destroyed my computer. some how my surge protector didnt work. Now my pc only turns on for about 1/2 second. And I just got the dam thing working again. DAMIT!!!!!

In order for a surge protector to work for a PC it needs to be the 50-160 dollar type.
pssst if it hapned do the the power surge they have to reinburse you to a certian dollar amout. Look into it

What you want is a decent UPS... no not the men in brown an uninterruptible power supply. Also sometimes called battery backup. Not only will it do a good job of protecting your pc from a voltage spike, but also from power failure or a brown out.
