The qualtiy of car doesnt come so much from an egineering standpoint but more from a mass production point. Ford design cars to be great cars. However with America being a capalistic economy the head bosses say save money. They do this by using sub-par parts and manufactering standards. What happens is they use shit material, parts, and unskilled labor. Thus you have a product which is inferior to the design point. ALL manufactorers have this issue. I have respect for Ford, much more than GM. However if you ever catch me in Ford check my pulse. If you catch me in a GM then im borrowing my dads truck!!
I have never been a fan of fords especially there mustangs (sorry andrew). I feel they came under powered compared to other cars (and still do) and didn't make up for it by having amazing handling in anyway. The only upside to them is that they where cheap. The interior of a ford mustangs are bland at best (can't say for the 2010 but anything before) especially mustangs pre 2005, it was like getting into one of there trucks. It was just plain ugly. Just look at the cars from other manufacturers at the time and compare HP ratings
Part of my bias is that I've been working on a ford truck and a ford van for the past 6 months, and its been getting to me. In the van, half the screws and bolts are metric. Then there are other things, like having wiring run through stupid places. Oh, and the transmission in van has been replaced twice, despite only having about 100k driven.

The biggest failure in Ford is what they did to the Rotary program.

Anywhere here any good with throttle body fuel injection stuff? I have the whole set up that I really want to install in my Land Cruiser (crate 350) but the wiring scares the hell out of me..

We have a Powerjection throttle body injection system on the Cobra, so far so good. Easy to tune with a laptop. 5.0 goodness. It will get a Hilborn system at some point just because.

Clarkson's hatred for all things Porsche is kinda annoying. He publicly tongues enough Ferrari cock to make me reconsider my position on prop 8.

He is a VERY biased individual.

I think its just for the sake of showmanship, people like watching him bust down perfectly good cars so he keeps it up.

It should just be the Stig beating shit around the Ring with lap times at the top of the screen and tech specs at the bottom.
