I got a 360 only because everyone I know has one. Also much more of a Halo fan, then a MGS fan.

360 due to better multiplayer system and has more of the games you have stated that you like to play. PSN isnt great even if it is free. And i believe its 50 a year for Xbox live.

PS3 FTW! My 360 had the three rings of death and it took 4 calls to customer service for them to assists me with its repair. PS3 has better single player games for the most part. Killzone 2 comes out next year and will be an awesome first person shooter. MGS4 is a playstation exclusive, which was enough reason for me. You get a Blu-ray player out of it and the online play is growing. Plus there hasn't really been a game that has tested the power of the PS3, its more powerful than a human heart.

DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE OWNING BOTH OF THESE SYSTEMS HOWEVER I HAVE PLAYED THEM. THE OPINIONS IN THIS POST ARE PURELY MY OWN. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THEM DONT REPLY IN SPOCKS POST. PM ME SOP I CAN PROMPTTLY DELETE IT.

Some of you act as if there are no more games coming out. Who cares how many games are out, more will come. For my opinion I prefer quality over quanity I believe the PS3 games to be better than the 360.

I do have both systems and the battle comes down to who you like better - Microsoft vs. Sony

I have both and I find myself playing the PS3 more. It is very nice to have free online play and the games are pretty much all multi-platform these days (with some exceptions: PS3=MGS, Resistance; 360=GOW, Halo). The PS3 having bluetooth also helps because you can just pair your cell phone's headset instead of buying a proprietary headset. It really comes down to whether or not you want the bluray capability, free online play, wireless connectivity (for the 80 GB PS3 or $99 for 360), controller preference (comfort, batteries), exclusive games (see above), and what platform your friends have.

XBOX 360 is a good system until you get the ring of doom. I bought mine off of CJAILI and it is running well. Online gameplay is great, until you come across some people with poor connection, then its a different story. Since HD DVD's are pretty much finished, I bought a HD DVD player from FRY's for 30.00 and the movies are very cheap. So, that's my opinion on them.
