Can anyone give me any ideas for a good gas sniper rifle. I have the tanaka clones in mind, does anyone have any experience with those. Any help or advice about any gas sniper rifles would be cool. Thanks
Guys at aex said gas rifle hop up sucks. you have to buy an external gas rig with a regulator for use at sac air games. i would not recommend it. just keep the vsr-10 you have. I know that gun is awesome because ive sniped side by side with connor. your not gonna find a sniper rifle that gets better than that. unless you get really really lucky.

actually im kinda considering getting both. i would only use the gas gun in private games with friends. thats why im looking for a clone, just something to mess around with. but i understand what your saying.
The KJW isn't a bad choice there are some things that you can do to it to make it perform at a reasonable level. oh and foamed silencers work extremely well with that gun
ya im seriously looking at the kjw m700. im thinking the police version as oppose to the take down. they say that the take down model is more prone to mag issues.
I fully recommend a kjw m700. I've gotten better results using a nearly stock m700 than I did with my vsr. one big thing about going gas though, is that machining knowledge and tools are just about required. You can get away with just a drill press and a whole lot of patience, but having access to a lathe and a mill will really make you gun shine. With a good hpa rig, on top of some mid-level reworking of the hopup and minor changes in the bolt, you can reasonably hit targets at 250ft (6-9/10 shots will hit.) With a couple aftermarket parts, and some major reworking of the bolt and receiver, 300 ft shots can be achievable of a regular basis. My vsr used to get 300 ft shots every now and then on the perfect day with a lucky arch, but my kjw is capable of 300ft shots in skirmish conditions.
sweet thats what i wanted to know. and yes, i have access to machines. except ive never used a lathe, but everything else is a go. thanks for the help.
