Congratulations. I just made my first mortgage payment last week and gave the keys of the rental to my FORMER landlord. I gotta tell ya. You're gonna love that feeling. Make sure you put your tax, and insurance payments within the loan. It'll save you the hassle of extra bills. Just a heads up, Even though I did this, I still got a bill for property tax. 3000 bucks to be exact. I panicked a bit but the wife got a hold of the mortgage broker and he assured us that it was taken care of. One other issue to keep you aware of. Be prepared to set aside 2 hours of your life and READ all before you sign. I almost signed a reverse mortgage form. Other than that, writer's cramp and moving. :)
