Safariland 6xxx Tactical Holster

Dec 1, 2008 12:44am
I have a question about the 6xxx series tactical holster. How tight is the holster if you are shooting when you are kneeling? I am kinda on the big side and the last time I had a tactical holster it cut off circulation on my right leg. Granted it was an airsoft holster but I just don't want to purchase the holster and then find out it isn't going to work out. I know I know I should lose weight but will that matter?

Never had a problem with mine. I'm 6'1" 205lbs in pretty good shape. But the straps are very adjustable and have some elasticity to them

6'4" 240lbs and can back squat a cow. The 6004 fit me with room to spare. You shouldn't have a problem.

And don't forget, just because it comes with 2 straps attached doesn't mean you MUST use both. I removed the top strap to allow the holster to be mounted on my actual THIGH rather than my lower leg. With it mounted higher there is less tugging when I kneel and drawing and reholstering is much faster.
