To me the strongest reason to resist gun control is to look at the governments that have had strict gun control though out history. Nazi Germany. Soviet Russia ect... governments who ruled by fear and oppression.

I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manfuacturer's lobby. But I also believe that when a gangbanger shoots indiscriminately into a crowd because he feels someone disrespected him, we have a problem of morality. Not only do we need to punish that man for his crime, but we need to acknowledge that there's a hole in his heart, one that government programs alone may not be able to repair

Except for people basing their politial beliefs off an opposition of a solitary ammendment. I mean if you're going to stand against someone there are much better platforms to argue.

It not my opinion. Truthfully, I don't think it can happen in this country without some VERY serous consequences. I think there are way too many of us with the "out of my cold dead hands" mentallity.
