I have to say I do like de la Hoya, even in defeat he was very classy. But I have to agree with Luis, last night was a poor show on Oscar's part. It was a sad way to go out. Hopefully, his legacy as a boxer isn't tarnished.

I figured they were being compared on the basis of which is more "extreme". MMA for some reason gets hyped like its some sort of extreme blood sport. I was just trying to point out they are fighting over crumbs...we have recorded history of real bloodsports and they make both boxing and MMA look silly by comparison.

The truth on the matter is boxing STILL manages to surpass MMA in only one fashion, it's payouts. Boxers still make 2 to 4 times more than the top tier MMA fighters do.
