Did you adjust the big screw on the bottom plate of the pistol grip at all?

didnt touch anything inside the mechbox.

Be sure there isn't excess wiring smashed/pinched between the pistol grip and gearbox shell.

they're on opposite sides.

The should not be on opposite sides. The red wire should come up the back(stock side) of the pistol grip.

Yah put the motor plate goes on the back side of the motor back in?

Good thinking, but CA M15's do not use motor plates.

Newer CA M15 pistol grips don't require a motor disc.
