wow and wow. I mean I thought I had a lot of wwii gear until I met hairy apple I mea n carbines ,m1 garand, 30 cal., thompson and now a mortar you make it feel like your going into a steven spielberg movie. you are one lucky guy :D

I haven't got a lot done lately. Ran into some issues with making the legs fold... so I gave up. Don't expect much work is going to get done this week as I just burnned the skin off three of my finger tips. Awesome. :(

don't you think that the browning is a little overkill?

Nice. Can't wait to see how it shoots. Were the 1903 parts cheep or were they the expensive?

I figured out a major help with the handguard issue, I removed more of the outer barrel and it's almost fitting on there now. A little more dremel work tomarrow and everything should come together nicely. As you can see, the stock on the VSR is way wider then the 1903 front end, I think with some bondo and some sanding I can make it meet up without much of a seam.

Be prepared to drop a good chunk on change on the inside. I started with a bolt action.

Yeah, I'm taking the forward section with me today to hunt for matching paint. I need to get some bondo and some resin to get the to parts mounted and flush. It's going to take a lot of building up and sanding down to get them to meet up nice and flush.

No more electical tape holding it together! I got the stock glued and bondoed. The wood filler I used was old and didn't really stick, so I'll have to go buy some fresh stuff in the morning and redo it tomorrow. Some sanding and paint and I'm done with the main part of the body. I still will have the butt plate and the scope rail and scope. When I get some extra money I'll buy a TM VSR10, upgrade it and swap the internals. Once I have the TM guts in it I'll modify the reciever to look more springfieldish.
