in the first picture of the m1 bazooka what did you use exactly to make that 12 gram valve on your bazooka. that thing with the pvc attached to metal pipes. made lots of compressed air bazookas, but never knew how to make a 12 gram bazooka.

So after spending the whole day looking for 2 3/4 inch metal tubing and being told that it doesn't exist several times... I got annoyed and shifted gears. I had not planned on working on this for a while but without the metal tubing I can't finish the mortar or bazooka sooo.... onto the M3 37mm Anti Tank gun.

Is that a wood stock? Did you buy it? make it?

It is a wood stock. Bought it and then modified it a bit... It was REALLY an aweful color when it came this morning. The horible color was just a very light coat of paint. Took me about an hour or so to sand it all down to bare wood. Before I started sanding however I took a screw driver and beat the hell out of it. Once sanded the paint stayed in the cuts and scratchs. That why they really stood out once I stained it. I really like how it came out, however I think I may get a darker stain tomorrow and hit it again with a darker stain. Most of the real Thompsons I've seen had pretty dark wood. It came with a horible butt plate, I tossed it and am working on modifying the original one to fit. Also, the support bolt isn't there on the rear stock! I will be drilling a hole there and putting it in. The other thing I didn't really like was the sling mounts were attached by tiny little wood screws. I'm almost sure they will pull out if the sling gets pulled on too hard. I am going to expoxy them on there tomorrow. Other then that, I think it's badass. Looks awesome.

Quite a collection there :shock: Once finished with your projects, you should show all your ww2 guns in one gigantic picture. AT gun looks great, wouldn't be surprised if you started on a m8 armored car :lol:

Chopped the trailer down to make it more A/T gun like. Also welded the mount on there. We stuck the barrel on there to get an idea what it's going to look like... I think it's pretty sweet so far. I swear there will be little to no duct tape when it's done. :)

I don't have a way to tow it yet! It won't be finished by then anyway. I still have to build the barrel assembly (duct tape isn't going to work out long term) and the blast shield. Both are going to take a while. I think the blast shield is going to be a pain in the rear to build.

ya i bet the blast shield will be the most difficult part of the build. even with the tape it still looks really good.
