i think you'll have more problems swapping the ras unit out and shimming it to fit w/o wobble than any of the other issues you've listed here

You could put a 8.4V battery in the PEQ box. They also make 8.4V batteries for the Crane stock

oh ok then. that makes things a hell of a lot easier. i think a crane would be best... knowing now that they come in 8.4's is good to hear lol. Sometimes you have all the puzzle pieces except for one, and you can't put it all together until you have that one. frustrating... but it'll pay off.
