Hey I am an Airsoft Newb and I was wondering which gun would be the best of the ones listed above. Also, are there any good upgrades (reasonable price) for these guns (350-400fps).

If you are looking for a good all around gun out of your list, the G36c would be good. The sig has a very tight battery space, though it is a sweet gun. There are lots of conversions and such for the G36c, and it is a really solid gun to begin with. Most the guns pretty much perform the same. The main differences being that guns with full buttstocks usually take large capacity batteries much easier, and guns with longer barrels tend to be a bit more accurate at greater distances. My advice might be to come out and play once with a rented gun, or with a buddies gun to see how you like it. You will have a better idea of what you want in a gun, and if you want to upgrade it right away.
I've got the SG 552 and I love it. It's solid as a brick and the battery problem is easily overcome if you remove 4 screws, a plastic piece and tape the fuse and remove the plastic casing for it. Then again, I didn't upgrade mine, so I'm just using a 8.4v 950 mah small NiMH battery. (It actually charges up to 1100 mah.)
ya ya ya... there is always the tactical tape approach to the battery issue.

I used to say the g36 was the best gun to get but they seem to be having alot of problems electrically at least with the guys I have talked to . I have the CA m15 a4 which if you buy stock is a great deal already upgraded internaly to 330 with all good parts inside like bearing bushings, and a large batterey holder in the stock or the peq. i took mine apart and is a breeze to work on. So simple compared to the g36 or mp5, the only problem is the hop up, which after talking to ray about sems easy enough to fix. So I would look at the CA a little in the begining but in the long run way cheaper, at least thats what I think . :twisted: :twisted:
