I have the KJW M1911 C02 Tactical pistol and I was wondering if there is a way to release the C02 gas without firing it?

Not familiar with that gun but going from paintball WAY back in the day with 12g CO2 cartidges... partway unscrew the screw that pushes the cartridge into the pin till you hear gas leaking out and let it leak till its done.
