Troubleshooting hop up problems

Jan 12, 2009 6:56pm
I have just installed a new tight bore barrel (KM) into my TM g36c and for some reason all the shots are going straight up and I'm not sure why. I've taken apart the hop up, changed the bucking, the packing and its still has too much back spin.I've shot it with the hop up all the way down and its still going straight up. I've shot it without the packing and it shoots straight down like it should so i don't think its the barrel. Any tips on what it might be would be awesome.

Did you change the hop bucking/nub when you changed the barrel? If not try finding a smaller bucking "nub". If you do not have a smaller nub, try using electrical wire insulation, with the wire removed. Make sure the stripped insulation is a smaller diameter then the nub you are using now.

+1 to what Ukau said. I had to do that with one of my rifles about three years ago. That was after I tried to shave down the original nub. And of course I failed. ; )

I've tried both the stock one that came with it and a new guarder one
