I own a classic army m15a4. I am currently using a small 1400 intellect battery, and it works great for most of the game before dieing. my gun is currently stock but i am getting a spring upgrade very soon, and i know that drains the battery even more.
you can buy a large battery and get a battery bag that can strap to your gun but other than that 11.1v Li Poly or Li Ion batteries they are small enough to fit in the hand guard. The only issue some have with those batteries are that they can strip your gears easily.
You can try and run a nun chunk battery in the hand guards....
If you have a full stock like me then the MAX you can fit is a 9.6v 3200 large which took me 30 min to get in and I have to charge the gun with the battery inside the stock.
