I have a 1982 Honda Xr 80. its in decent condition and it has run before. it sat for some months and now, after attempted ignition, i noticed the carburetor was completely dry.
Does it have a fuel filter? Check the carb floats. Check the on/off/reverve valve on the bottom the the gas tank to make sure it's not plugged with rust or some other crap. If gas isn't getting into the carb that's why it's not starting, not the spark plug or intake or choke. Figure out why there isn't gas getting to the carb, pinpoint the area the gas stops getting where it needs to be then check for blockage.

ok ill have to check on those floats. I remember seeing that somewhere else too the guy asking had a similar problem to me. and the valve flows good its been checked.
No problem, I know how frustrating engine issues can be.
